Mango butter comes from the seeds of the mango tree. Native to South Asia, mango trees are now grown in tropical locations around the world. The butter is filled with oleic acid and stearic acid, two fatty acids that work to keep skin and hair soft and shiny. In the same way, mango butter is high in antioxidants and vitamins, and it has wound healing properties as well.
Mango seeds are powdered, turned into butter and even have their oil extracted. When the butter is extracted, it’s heated to almost boiling until it reaches the right consistency, whipped up, to be added to the body butter.
